For GPs, rehabilitation providers and referrers

BioPsyche provides focused psychological treatment for adults with work-related presentations — burnout, moral injury, workplace trauma and psychological injury — alongside general adult therapy and ADHD and autism assessment.

Currently accepting new referrals · typical wait for an initial appointment: 1–2 weeks

Who to refer

  • Burnout and chronic occupational stress
  • Adjustment disorder with workplace stressors
  • Work-related anxiety and depression
  • Psychological injury following workplace bullying, harassment or conflict
  • PTSD and trauma responses following workplace incidents
  • Moral injury — particularly in health, education, care and emergency-services workers
  • Return-to-work support during or after psychological injury

Patients do not need an active claim. Adults with non-occupational presentations (anxiety, depression, menopause-related concerns) and adults seeking ADHD or autism assessment are also welcome.

Referral pathways

Medicare / Better Access. Patients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan currently receive a rebate of $98.97 per session (fee $185, gap approximately $86). Rebates are indexed each July — the Fees & Rebates page always shows current amounts. Please include the MHTP and any relevant history with the referral.
WorkCover Queensland and insurers. Fees aligned to the insurer’s schedule of fees. Reports and progress updates provided within agreed timeframes; I’m familiar with the reporting requirements of WorkCover, self-insurers and income protection providers.
Rehabilitation providers. I work collaboratively within return-to-work plans and provide treating-practitioner input that is realistic about both the worker’s capacity and the workplace’s role in recovery.
NDIS. Self-managed and plan-managed participants welcome (not currently registered for agency-managed plans). Fees per the NDIS price guide.
EAP and self-referral. Patients may also book directly without a referral.

What your patient can expect

A 50-minute initial consultation focused on stabilisation and a clear formulation — not a re-telling that re-traumatises. Treatment is evidence-based (including EMDR, ACT, schema-informed and compassion-focused approaches) and neuro-informed: regulation and safety come before exposure or insight work. You will receive correspondence after the initial consultation and at sensible intervals after that.
