Fees & rebates
Plain figures, and the ways an appointment can be paid for.
All services can be paid for privately. Rebates and funded arrangements apply to psychological therapy only. Figures below are correct as at 1 July 2026 and are reviewed each July when Medicare and NDIS rates change.
Fees
| Service | Length | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Psychological Therapy | 50 minutes | $195 | Medicare rebate $101.55 with a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan. Funded appointments are billed at the funder’s rate. |
| Adult ADHD Diagnostic Assessment | Initial assessment, questionnaires, structured interview, feedback session | $1,250 | Includes a comprehensive written report. Payment can be made in stages across the assessment process; you do not need to pay the full fee upfront. |
| Other psychological assessment | Varies | Quoted on enquiry | Autism assessment and other psychological assessment available by enquiry, within competence and scope. Additional reports or documentation outside routine treating-practitioner correspondence may incur a separate fee. Fees are discussed before the report is prepared. |
| Professional Consultation & Reflective Practice (helping professionals) | 60 minutes | $220 | Private fee. One-off or ongoing; same rate. Medicare rebates do not apply — this service is not psychological treatment. |
| Psychology Supervision & Professional Consultation | 60 minutes | $220 | Private fee. One-off or ongoing; same rate. No package, no block-booking discount. |
| External Reflective Practice for Teams | 60–90 minutes | Quoted | Organisational service, arranged by enquiry. Fee quoted after a short scoping conversation. |
Payment is taken at the time of the appointment. Where a Medicare rebate applies, I lodge the claim for you after payment.
Ways appointments can be funded
Private / self-funded. Book directly — no referral needed. Private health fund rebates for psychology may apply depending on your cover; check with your fund.
Medicare. For eligible psychological therapy with a GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan. Up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. The rebate is $101.55 per session, leaving a gap of $93.45. Rebate amounts are indexed each July.
WorkCover Queensland. Treatment under an accepted claim, billed at the scheme rate. Reports and progress updates are provided within agreed timeframes.
Other insurer- and compensation-funded psychological services where approved. For example income-protection or other compensation schemes, by prior approval from the insurer.
DVA. For eligible DVA clients with a referral.
NDIS. Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome, charged in line with the NDIS pricing arrangements. I am not currently registered for agency-managed plans.
EAP and other third-party funded services by arrangement. Where an employer or organisation has an arrangement in place with me.
Cancellations
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, and non-attendance without notice, may incur a cancellation fee. Medicare and other funders — including NDIS and WorkCover — do not cover late-cancellation fees, so they are the responsibility of the client. Genuine emergencies are treated as such. This policy is what makes it possible to offer appointments to people who are waiting.
